Cowes Beach – a great family beach
Cowes Beach is one of my favourite beaches. It is a great place to take the family on their next holiday or vacation. Cowes is extremely popular during the summer and on holidays, so make sure to take that into consideration. It may be a bit busy when you visit, but it never gets too crowded. It is actually a quiet beach, which makes it great for those who want to get away from it all and relax.
The beach is covered in soft white sand and shells, which is great for those who love to go shelling, picking up shells for souvenirs. The views from the beach are pretty amazing, so bring the camera!
At the beach there is the Cowes Jetty. This is great for a stroll as there are normally people fishing off the pier and sometimes kids jumping into the water- my boys love jumping off the pier!
I love it because the beach is great for swimming and because it is right next to some great parks and tree lined avenues. Take a walk nearby and really explore nature’s beauty.
Also along the Esplanade you will find many great cafés for lunches, snacks or a coffee, and there is also a couple of great supermarkets nearby so you can pick up refreshments before going to the beach.
Remember that Cowes Beach shrinks a little during high tide, so check the tide times when you visit. You don’t want your things to get washed out to sea…trust me, I know from experience!
