Beyond The Valley
Beyond The Valley (BTV) is a must for music lovers everywhere! It is an Australian music festival hosted for two nights at the beautiful and scenic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria. The music promises to get your blood pumping and genres range from electronics, alternative, hip-hop, indie dance and indie rock.
BTV has one of the hottest line-ups ever, featuring artists like Allday, Danny Brown, Golden Features, Slow Magic, AlunaGeorge, Willow Beats, HWLS, Kaytranada, KIo, Dillon Francis and many more!
BTV Gate Timings
• 29 December: From 12 pm to 6 pm
• 30 December: From 8 am to 6 pm
• 31 December: From 8 am to 6 pm
For all those planning to meet up with friends or family, BTV has a special waiting bay which you will be admitted entry to after ticket and security checks.
Music Festival Tickets
• Early Settlers Pass – This pass allows you entry for one extra day i.e. 29 December. It costs $30, admits one person and you can only purchase it if you hold a valid 2 day ticket.
• 2 Day Ticket – This pass costs $309, admits one person and includes camping from 30 December to 1 January.
• 3 Day Ticket – This pass costs $339, admits one person and includes camping from 29 December to 1 January.
A number of facilities will be available at the concert premises like a multitude of food stalls, bars, toilets, showers, ATMs, first aid centres, disabled facilities, lost and found centres, free water outlets, merchandise stalls, event maps and program schedules.
The festival ticket must be shown to authorities upon arrival and if you’re using a campervan, you need to buy a campervan pass as well. Be aware that Lux camp and powered site purchases cannot be considered as festival tickets. If you require any toiletries, there will be a general store on premises. There is a strict ban on flammable items and you can speak to the staff members, camping marshals and security guards if you are experiencing any safety issues.
There are certain essential items which you must carry with you. They are your tickets, personal identification, ready cash, medication, cell phone/laptop chargers, tent, sleeping bags, pillows, towels, insect repellent, water bottles, torches, folding chairs and warm clothing.
If you have arrived by car, your car has to be parked right next to your tent and you will not be allowed to move your car until the end of the festival on January 1, 2015. If you aren’t staying on BTV camping grounds, you can avail of the BTV bus, which will be parked at Gate 2- Back Beach Road.
Getting The The Music Festival
The main entry point is located at Gate 2- Back Beach Road, Phillip Island, Victoria. Take the ramp onto the M1 and exit on to South Gippsland Freeway/ M420 towards Cranbourne/Hastings. Then take the South Gippsland Highway and continue to follow the M420. Continue on to Bass Highway and take the B420. Go through one roundabout and follow the Back Beach Road.
